Hi Physics Fair Folks,

http://ups.physics.wisc.edu/physicsfair/files/pizza%20lunch_0.pdf

I just wanted to remind you that we are meeting on Wednesday at noon in room 3290 (plasma conference room). At Tim's suggestion, I'll order a couple of pizzas and we can do $1 slices. (Any objections to Ian's?) We have to practice eating pizza while talking to get ready for our big meeting/information session on Monday (Oct 29) at noon in room 4274.

Here's the plan:

1. Rebecca's flyer about the pizza lunch is attached. Invite your interested group members and/or friends to attend for more information, hang at your favorite gathering spot, etc.

2. We will need volunteers for:
-ordering pizza (for next Monday, I'll take care of this week)
-meeting pizza guy
-getting cups, plates, napkins, drinks, etc

3. Now that the important stuff (food)is taken care of, on to the content... My thought it that we show people what an appropriate display would look like. Anyone have something appropriate to display? So far I have -
-Hillary (and Gwynne?) will talk about their exploration station from Science Expeditions last year
-I will set up WoP demos that people can use and an example poster from a Family Science Night last spring
-Bret will bring gravitation demos (I have some of the quark puzzle pieces to bring)

Other items:
1. Mary Ann asked if we want to sell physics t-shirts, how many do we want and what sizes?
2. David Willey has agreed to do a short demo show at 11:30
3. Peter - report on rooms?

See you on Wednesday,
Rachael
